Cervélo Áspero Apex AXS 1 - Dusty Unicorn

The Cervélo Áspero is a gravel bike with the responsive feel of a road bike and the clearance, gearing and control to take on rougher surfaces. Its carbon frame is shaped to conserve energy over long, exposed rides, while dropped seat stays and a slightly more forgiving front end help take the edge off demanding gravel. Neater cable routing gives the bike a clean finish. 

The current Áspero uses a T47a threaded bottom bracket and SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger. There is also extra space around the rear tyre for mud clearance. These are practical details for a bike intended to be ridden hard across changing conditions.

This Apex AXS 1 build combines wireless electronic shifting with a 46T single chainring and a wide-range 10–52T cassette. Reserve 30 GR AL wheels, 45 mm WTB Vulpine tyres, a carbon handlebar and carbon seatpost complete a build suited to gravel racing, fast mixed-surface rides and hilly routes.
