COMMENCAL META POWER SX AVINOX SIGNATURE – Big Power, Serious Trail Performance

What happens when you combine COMMENCAL's enduro heritage with one of the most powerful electric mountain bike drive systems available?

You get the 2027 COMMENCAL META POWER SX AVINOX SIGNATURE – an electric enduro bike built for riders who want powerful climbing assistance, confident descending and the freedom to squeeze more riding into every day.

Powered by the Avinox M2S motor, delivering up to 130Nm of continuous-rated peak torque and 150Nm in Boost mode, the META POWER SX combines serious motor performance with 160mm of FOX Factory suspension and responsive mixed-wheel handling.

The result is an e-MTB designed to make steep climbs more manageable, technical descents more rewarding and another lap difficult to resist.

Whether you're riding the Sunshine Coast hinterland, tackling technical singletrack or heading away for a weekend of enduro riding, the META POWER SX AVINOX SIGNATURE is ready for the challenge.

Avinox M2S – Serious Power for Serious Riding

The Avinox M2S is at the heart of the META POWER SX, delivering an impressive combination of torque, power and responsive assistance.

With up to 130Nm of torque in normal operation and a maximum 150Nm in Boost mode, the system provides the assistance needed for steep climbs, technical rock steps and demanding terrain.

Maximum power output reaches 1,300W, giving riders substantial assistance when the trail points upwards.

• Motor: Avinox M2S
• Maximum torque: 130Nm in normal operation
• Boost torque: Up to 150Nm
• Maximum power: 1,300W
• Battery: 800Wh on Medium, Large and XL
• Small frame battery: 600Wh
• Charger: Avinox 508W fast charger

For riders who enjoy technical climbing as much as descending, the Avinox system offers an opportunity to tackle demanding terrain with powerful, responsive pedal assistance.

More Riding with an 800Wh Battery

Big days on the mountain call for a battery that can support the adventure.

The META POWER SX AVINOX SIGNATURE features a fully integrated 800Wh battery on Medium, Large and XL frames, providing substantial energy capacity for longer rides, repeated climbs and extended trail sessions.

The Small frame uses a 600Wh battery to accommodate its more compact frame design.

Paired with the supplied 508W fast charger, the Avinox system is designed to reduce charging downtime between rides.

Actual riding range depends on terrain, rider weight, assistance mode, elevation gain and riding conditions.

FOX Factory Suspension – Confidence When the Trail Gets Rough

The META POWER SX AVINOX SIGNATURE features a premium FOX Factory suspension package with 160mm of travel front and rear.

Up front, the FOX 36 Factory fork uses the GRIP X2 damper, offering high- and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment.

At the rear, the FOX Float X Factory shock provides adjustable damping and a two-position lever, allowing riders to tune suspension performance for their preferred terrain.

COMMENCAL's Virtual Contact System (VCS) suspension linkage is designed to balance traction, support and sensitivity, helping the rear wheel follow rough terrain while maintaining a responsive ride.

• Fork: FOX 36 Factory, 160mm travel
• Damper: FOX GRIP X2
• Rear shock: FOX Float X Factory, 230 × 60mm
• Rear travel: 160mm
• Suspension platform: COMMENCAL Virtual Contact System

Whether you're navigating rocky descents, flowing through corners or pushing into rougher enduro trails, this suspension package offers the performance and adjustment expected from a premium e-MTB.

Mixed Wheels – Stable Up Front, Playful at the Rear

COMMENCAL uses a 29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel to combine confident rollover performance with responsive handling.

The larger front wheel helps maintain momentum through rocks, roots and rough sections, while the smaller rear wheel contributes to the bike's agility through tight corners and technical terrain.

Combined with 160mm of suspension travel and COMMENCAL's enduro geometry, the META POWER SX is designed to feel capable without sacrificing the lively handling that makes mountain biking fun.

For riders who enjoy picking creative lines, navigating technical descents and moving the bike around beneath them, this mixed-wheel configuration is a major part of its appeal.

Premium Components for Demanding Trails

The SIGNATURE build brings together a carefully selected collection of components suited to aggressive electric mountain biking.

SRAM GX Eagle Transmission

The SRAM GX Eagle T-Type electronic drivetrain features a 12-speed 10–52T cassette, providing a wide gear range for steep climbing and fast trail riding. SRAM AXS POD controls offer wireless shifting from the handlebar.

SHIMANO XT Four-Piston Brakes

SHIMANO XT hydraulic brakes paired with GALFER Shark 203mm rotors front and rear provide strong braking performance and control for demanding descents.

DT Swiss HX1700 Wheels with DEG DF Technology

The DT Swiss HX1700 wheelset uses DT Swiss 350 Hybrid hubs, with the rear hub featuring DEG DF technology.

This system is designed to reduce pedal kickback by allowing controlled freedom of movement within the freehub, helping the rear suspension operate with less interference from drivetrain tension.

MAXXIS Minion DHR II Tyres

MAXXIS Minion DHR II tyres front and rear feature MaxxTerra rubber and EXO+ casing, providing a balance of traction, durability and rolling performance for technical trail riding.

ONEUP V3 Dropper Post

A size-specific ONEUP V3 dropper post makes it easy to adjust saddle height between climbing and descending.
