SILCA TPU inner tubes are less than half the size and weight of traditional butyl tubes, making them an excellent performance upgrade or compact spare for your saddle bag.

Weighing just 45–62 g, they can save more than 200 g per bike when replacing standard butyl tubes. Their extremely compact folded size also means you can carry two SILCA TPU tubes in approximately the same space normally occupied by one conventional tube.

Ideal for Noosa and Sunshine Coast Riding

A dependable spare is essential when riding longer routes around Noosa and the Sunshine Coast. On rides such as the Noosa–Kin Kin Loop, Sunshine Coast Hinterland Loop or the demanding Maleny–Kenilworth–Mapleton–Montville Loop, the small packed size makes it easy to carry a second tube without overloading your saddle bag.

For faster local rides, including the Noosa Local Loop, Gyndier Drive and the popular coastal road towards Coolum Beach, SILCA TPU tubes offer low rolling resistance and a significant reduction in rotational weight compared with traditional butyl tubes.

They are also an excellent emergency spare for riders using tubeless tyres. Their compact size leaves more room for a multitool, tyre levers, inflator and other essentials.

SILCA developed its TPU tubes to address common weaknesses found in lightweight tubes.

A patented mechanical valve attachment and welded tube joint improve reliability, while the threaded aluminium valve resists heat produced by electric pumps. The included valve nut holds the valve securely against the rim and helps prevent unwanted rattling.

The removable valve core makes the tube easier to service, and every tube includes a compatible patch and alcohol cleaning wipe.
